SUPPORTING ISRAEL

Mission

Initiatives we are hoping to support

1. Survivors, communities, and hostages - victims of October 7th

These are the towns and communities located in proximity to the Gaza strip; Families of the murdered, kidnapped, or missing individuals; survivors of the music festival which was brutally, horrifically attacked, and others.

2. NGOs and organizations supporting the home front

These NGOs have either already been operating for years in the relevant regions prior to the 7th of October, or have specifically been harnessing their organizational structures and resources (donations) towards supporting the affected areas of war and civilian displacement in the country.

The work of these NGOs varies from providing hot home cooked meals to the elderly and holocaust survivors living-in or evicted-from their homes in the battle areas (Western Negev around the Gaza strip, as well as the Northern borders with Galilee and Golan Heights); Assisting people with disabilities in zones under attack to receive accessible missile-proof alternative housing; Delivering medicine and medical equipment for those who cannot provide themselves; Allowing initial and process-driven post trauma support and tools for youth who experienced the horrific attacks, as well as survivors of the NOVA music festival – at high risk for developing post trauma symptoms (visit Instagram group Seven10stories to listen to their testimonies) alongside other support initiatives for the current situation and challenges Israel is coping with.

3. Grassroots initiatives

Created by private groups of individuals, these initiatives require financial support in order to continue operating in the months ahead.

Israel is referred to by many as Start-Up Nation, known for its people’s creativity and innovational mind-set. This societal characteristic had burst out since the beginning of the war. Civil challenges which were not being properly addressed by the state received focus by amazing individuals and groups of civilians, many of which were (and are) themselves displaced from home due to its proximity to the war regions. These initiatives have been founded in order to strengthen the country in its time of emergency. Many people who lost their jobs, homes, friends, and/or clarity for the future, have been founding a wide range of initiatives, solving needs and linking the public towards the national war effort in a constructive way.

These initiatives evolve and change in accordance with the needs and reality on the ground, and we aim to stay updated with the progress and necessities being reflected from “the field”.
